Jennifer Ticsay, Veterinary Assistant / Obedience and Dog Behavioral Specialist
Jennifer Ticsay has been a part-time veterinary assistant with Jefferson Animal Clinic since 2000. Now fully focused on her dog training business, Dances with Woofs, Jen is a great resource to JAC and to our clients for training and behavioral transformation.

She received a Psychology and Sociology degree from Purdue University. She directed her education toward working in the animal behavior field. As part of her course of study, Jennifer was a research assistant on a twenty-five year investigation of wolf behavior at Wolf Park, a North American Wildlife Federation funded facility. While studying ethology under Dr. Eric Klinghammer, Jennifer acquired a full understanding of the motivational and functional systems of human and non-human animals. Jennifer is motivated to increase her knowledge of canine behavior. By keeping herself current on modern training techniques and theories Jennifer can thus provide her clients with progressive training techniques in the following areas:

  • Basic obedience

  • Puppy obedience

  • Canine manners

  • Problem behavior counseling

As a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Jennifer is dedicated to the betterment of our canine friends in society. Her goal in training is to help dogs and their companions live together peacefully for the lifetime of the pet. Jennifer utilizes kind and positive methods that reflect her understanding of the way in which animals learn. Her knowledge of behavior modification helps her to educate her clients on the importance of positive reinforcement in building a respectful and problem free relationship between dog and owner. Jennifer is dedicated to giving her clients the knowledge they need to live harmoniously with their non-human companions. Visit Jen's website at: http://www.danceswithwoofsdogtraining.com/
