Jefferson Animal Clinic offers annual visits, which include a full nose to tail exam, weight check and recommendations that are tailored to your pet’s individual needs. These recommendations may include what vaccines are needed, preventative blood work and monthly parasite preventions that will keep your pet healthy. We will be happy to provide an estimate to you for the cost of all the veterinarian’s recommendations.

For the pets that we treat over 6 years of age, we recommend at least 2 visits a year, 6 months apart. One is the annual visit and the other is a senior wellness visit. During this senior wellness visit, we will check your pet’s blood pressure, eye pressure, run an EKG, as well as a full nose to tail exam and weight check. Our goal is early detection of some common conditions that affect older pets, so that we can develop a treatment to manage the condition. For a more thorough evaluation of your pet, a senior preventative blood panel that includes a CBC, full chemistry profile, thyroid level and a urinalysis can be done at this time for an additional cost.

We also offer preventative oral health programs for your pets. (Click here for more information).
